Cedar Point's Flavors of Halloweekends 2024

Welcome Ghouls and Goblins,     It's the most wonderful time of the year. Ew no, not the holidays. Halloween. Spooky Season. Football. Orange. While I dread the shorter days and losing the warm sun until May (Ohio probs), I love all things spooky and pumpkin spice in mass amounts. It also signals yet another year for my favorite event at Cedar Point-Halloweekends. We are back to enjoy the Flavors of Halloweekends. This year features 6 savory and 5 sweet items. We also tried a few specialty drinks around the park and at the Grand Pavilion that aren't part of Flavors of Halloweekends, but they're still themed to the event. Note: These are usually not part of the dining plan. I know some of you (like me) wish you could navigate the system to make it cheaper, but specialty event food items are sold individually and not part of a meal. The theme of this year seems to lean toward graveyards and tombs, so we're using tombstones 🪦 (or it may show up as black boxes if you'

Cedar Point's Boardwalk Nights

Step Right Up!     Cedar Point's Boardwalk Nights is a carnival-esque evening event featuring games, live entertainment, and themed food and drinks. There's also themed merchandise in the gift shops.  It occurs every night (except Tuesdays) July 19th-August 18th from 7pm-10pm. I  love that they're fully embracing the Boardwalk theme, as it's now one of my favorite areas to be in the park. When we attended Winter Chill Out earlier this year, it was on a sneak peek events poster in the costume building. While they didn't delve into the details, I'm glad they didn't spoil the surprises because this event is a lot more fun that I had anticipated.  $39.99     Boardwalk Nights starts off with a cavalcade at 7pm along the Boardwalk (between Windseeker and Gatekeeper). There were 3 floats, dancers, and kites. However, all 3 floats don't make it down the entire boardwalk. They start over near Gatekeeper/MaXair and stop in designated spots. One float stops near W

Cedar Point's Winter Chill Out 2024

Greetings from Spring!      Yes, Winter Chill Out was back in February and I wish I could've gotten this up sooner. It was the weekend after we got back from Disney World and I wanted to get all the Disney posts completed prior to talking about this event. Winter Chill Out is an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Cedar Point's operations. It takes place at the end of February every year regardless of weather (It was in the 20s when we went. I have seen it happen in -10 degree weather), and is currently a lottery system. All proceeds from this event go to A Kid Again  which provides adventures for families raising children with life-threatening illnesses. I had been trying to get tickets for this event for about 4+ years, and was ecstatic to finally get the email saying I was one of the chosen winners. As you all know, I am a huge amusement and theme park enthusiast. Cedar Point is my "home" amusement park, so I was beyond thrilled to have an opportunity to walk arou
